Welcome to my World

I hope that the few pages I have on this website will serve as introducing myself and give you some idea about the background and environment in which I was born, and spent my childhood and young adult years. Damascus, my beloved city, formed my personality. It also shaped some of the characters I developed for my stories. For that reason, I have devoted a page for Damascus on my website and included some pictures from my recent trip to Damascus, including those places that were mentioned in my book "Jasmine Man." On another page, I have included the full text of one story, and some highlights of all other stories, from my book in PDF format to download

If you sign my notebook, please allow up to one day for your comments to appear on my guest book. You can also email me at the address displayed on the opposite page. The “News” link  can be found near the top of the homepage and will update you with cultural & local news from Syria and with the latest facebook postings or fans members. Some links might be hard to find, but hopefully you will enjoy this browsing journey.

Jasmine Man The painting

Jasmine Man the Painting:

After I awoke from a dream about the Jasmine Man, I began work on this painting at 3:00 a.m. while the book was in preparation for publishing.

Jasmine Man

I began working on this collection in Damascus in 1994 and completed the work in 2009. After moving to the United States, it took me some time to again open my note pads and finish the stories from my memories of what I had written in Damascus

I have included a page on this website to be used as a quick reference for all the stories in my book description of all  book stories and another page with a link to download the full script of the first story in PDF format

Short About Me

As an engineer, it is challenging for me to forget logic and numbers and escape to bathe in the pond of literature, but I have realized I need to in order to break from the nonsensical daily routine of a fast-paced life.
